SACRED BODY SANCTUARY
A space to come back to yourself
You don’t always need another answer.
Sometimes you need somewhere you can pause.
Somewhere you can talk about what’s really going on.
Somewhere you can notice what your body, your emotions and your inner world have been trying to tell you.
Sacred Body Sanctuary is a gentle, ongoing space for women in midlife who are ready to stop struggling and start reconnecting with themselves.
No curriculum to keep up with.
No pressure to have it all figured out.
No expectation that you need to become someone different.
Just a space to arrive as you are.
Sundays | 8:00am AEST | Live on Facebook
You don’t have to know what you need before you come
Perhaps you’re exhausted.
Perhaps you’re overwhelmed.
Perhaps something in your body has changed and you don’t quite understand why.
Perhaps you’re constantly doing things for everyone else and have lost touch with what you need.
Perhaps you’re navigating a relationship, a transition, a new stage of life or a version of yourself that no longer feels quite right.
Or perhaps nothing is particularly wrong.
You just know you want to feel more like yourself again.
You don’t need to arrive with the right question.
We can start with whatever is present.
Sanctuary isn’t another programme to work your way through
There isn’t a twelve-week curriculum you need to complete.
There isn’t a list of things you need to master.
Because your life doesn’t follow a curriculum.
What you need this week may be completely different from what you need next month.
So Sanctuary leaves room for that.
Each gathering is shaped by the women who are there, what is alive for them, and what naturally emerges through our conversation.
Sometimes we might explore the body.
Sometimes stress or overwhelm.
Sometimes relationships.
Sometimes emotions that haven’t had much room to be felt.
Sometimes the expectations we put on ourselves.
Sometimes the question is simply:
“What do I actually need?”
And sometimes a conversation leads somewhere none of us expected. That’s part of the magic of the space.
A conversation can change something
Not because someone gives you the perfect answer.
But because sometimes hearing yourself say something out loud changes the way you see it.
You might realise:
I’ve been expecting everyone else to tell me I’m doing a good job.
I’ve been trying to fix something that actually needs compassion.
I didn’t realise how much I’ve been holding.
Maybe I don’t have to keep doing it this way.
Perhaps I already know more than I think I do.
Those moments matter.
Because awareness creates choice.
And choice creates the possibility of something different.
We begin with awareness
Your body isn’t broken.
It’s communicating.
Your emotions aren’t problems that need to be eliminated.
They’re information.
And the patterns you’ve developed aren’t evidence that you’ve failed.
They may simply be ways you’ve learned to navigate your life.
Sanctuary gives you somewhere to become curious about those things.
Not to analyse yourself endlessly.
Not to find everything that’s “wrong”.
Just enough awareness to begin seeing yourself differently.
With a little more compassion.

Sometimes the most powerful part is simply being held
There is something different about being in a space where you don’t have to perform.
You can talk.
You can listen.
You can laugh.
You can cry.
You can be quiet.
You can change your mind.
You can share something personal — or simply be there.
And you don’t have to justify how you’re feeling.
The recent Sanctuary conversations have shown me how much can emerge when women have that kind of space: one woman’s experience can open a completely different door for another. A meditation about finding something within yourself can become a conversation about acceptance, validation and letting people in.
You don’t have to do this alone.
There may be a deeper layer
Sometimes you come in talking about something quite ordinary.
Food.
Sleep.
A difficult relationship.
Something that’s frustrating you.
Something your body is doing.
Something someone said.
And underneath it, you discover something else.
A need for appreciation.
A fear of rejection.
A pattern of putting everyone else first.
A belief about who you’re supposed to be.
A part of yourself you’ve been keeping small.
You don’t have to go looking for these things.
We simply become curious when they appear.
That is very different from trying to dig up every problem you’ve ever had.

And sometimes we take it into the body
Not everything needs to be talked through.
Sometimes you understand something differently when you feel it.
That’s why Sanctuary may include gentle practices such as:
- guided meditation
- visualisation
- body awareness
- grounding
- breath
- reflection
- energy-based practices
- quiet moments of noticing
The practice isn’t about doing it “right”.
It’s about giving yourself an opportunity to experience something rather than simply think about it.
In one recent meditation, for example, we explored the idea of looking for appreciation, love or validation outside ourselves — and then noticing whether even a tiny spark of that feeling could already be found within. With each breath, that spark was allowed to grow.
That’s the kind of exploration Sanctuary makes room for.
What you may begin to discover
Sanctuary isn’t designed to give you a guaranteed outcome.
Because your experience is your own.
But over time, you may begin to notice things such as:
More awareness – You recognise what’s happening before you’re completely overwhelmed.
More self-compassion – You stop speaking to yourself as though you are the problem.
More self-trust -You become more willing to listen to what you know and feel.
More choice – You notice that you don’t have to respond in the same way every time.
More connection – You feel less separated from your body, your emotions and yourself.
And perhaps most importantly:
You stop struggling so hard to become someone you’re not.

This is for you if …
u are a woman in midlife who is ready for something deeper than another list of things to do.
You might be:
- tired of constantly trying to “fix” yourself
- overwhelmed by conflicting advice about your health and wellbeing
- navigating a change in identity or circumstances
- feeling disconnected from your body
- carrying emotions you haven’t had space for
- questioning old patterns
- craving a place where you can be honest without having to have the answers
- wanting to understand yourself rather than continually push yourself
You don’t need to be experienced in meditation.
You don’t need to understand nervous system regulation.
You don’t need to be “spiritual”.
You don’t need to be in crisis.
And you don’t need to know exactly what you want to work on.
Curiosity is enough.
What Sanctuary isn’t
Sanctuary isn’t therapy.
It isn’t medical treatment.
It isn’t a course where you are expected to complete homework every week.
It isn’t another place where you have to perform wellness.
And it isn’t about fixing everything.
It’s a space for exploration, connection and support.
If something arises that needs professional medical or psychological support, that support remains important.
Sanctuary can sit alongside the other care and support in your life.

What Happens Inside The Sanctuary
Because there is no fixed curriculum, each gathering has its own rhythm.
We might begin with a conversation about something that’s happening in everyday life.
From there, we may explore the body, emotions, relationships, patterns, stress or whatever feels relevant.
There may be a guided practice or meditation.
There may be questions.
There may be laughter.
There may be a moment where something suddenly makes sense.
And there is always space to simply listen.
You don’t have to participate in every conversation.
You can take what resonates and leave what doesn’t.

The women are part of the experience
One of the beautiful things about Sanctuary is that you don’t only learn through the facilitator.
You learn through hearing another woman say:
“Me too.”
Or:
“I’ve never thought about it that way.”
Or:
“That’s exactly what I’ve been feeling.”
Sometimes another woman’s story gives you language for something you’ve been experiencing yourself.
And sometimes you realise you’re not the only one.
The group isn’t there to give advice or fix each other.
It’s simply a place where women can be witnessed, heard and supported.

Your invitation
If something in you is quietly saying,
“I think I need a space like this,”
you don’t need to explain why.
You don’t need to wait until things get worse.
And you don’t need to have the perfect reason.
You can simply come and see what happens when you give yourself some space.
